LIABILITY:
Care will be taken to assure the safety of the works, but the committee and Center will not be responsible for any loss or damages.
SALES:
All entries that are not priced will be marked "NOT FOR SALE." All sales will be handled by the Arts Committee during the show.
Every effort will be made to sell works of art and The Darien Art Show takes a 25% commission on all sales.
ELIGIBILITY:
All Adult and Student Artists residing or employed in Darien, contributors, and students presently enrolled in Darien Arts Center Classes. The Artists Advisory Board reserves the right to reject any entry not considered suitable. All artwork must be original and not previously shown in Darien Arts Center shows. All entries must be recent work. In the case of two entries, at least one must be for sale.
ENTRY FEE:
- Adults - $10.00 for per piece
- (maximum 2 pieces)
- Students (Grades K-12)
- $5.00 per piece (maximum 2 pieces)

- Oil & Acrylic

- Graphics,Drawing & Pastels

- No stitchery or crafts
MOUNTING:
Entries submitted must be framed with wire suitable for hanging. Hanging Pieces size limit 40” either way including frame. Sculpture limit 50lbs. and provide own pedestals. Children’s entries MUST be framed or matted with proper hanging attachments.
RECEIVING:
The committee will receive artwork at Darien Arts Center’s Weatherstone Studio, rear of Town Hall, 2 Renshaw Road on Sunday, May 25, 12 to 4 pm and Tuesday, May 27, 4 to 8 pm.
PICK-UP:
Artist’s receipts must be presented when entry is removed. Entries MUST be claimed on Sunday June 8, 12-3:00 pm or Monday, June 9, 10am-1pm. The Art Show will not be responsible for any items left after this time. Work may not be removed before 12 noon on Sunday. Please make arrangements if you are unable to pick up your own work. A $5.00 per piece per day fee will be charged for work not removed on June 9th.
OPENING & AWARDS RECEPTION
DAC WEATHERSTONE STUDIO
Friday, May 30th 7 to 9pm
Prizes and ribbons will be awarded to winning artists.
