Registration for returning fall students accepted as of July 1, 2008. Registration for new fall students accepted as of August 1, 2008. Registration for returning winter/spring students accepted as of December 1, 2008. Registration for new winter/spring students accepted as of January 1, 2009.
Classes meet in the Visual Arts Studio on Tuesdays.
Fall semester: September 11 through November 28, with a Friday, December 1 rehearsal and a Saturday, December 2, performance in the DAC Weatherstone Studio.
Spring semester:
- T1A 1:30 to 2:15 - Fairy Tale Drama / 3 and 4
- T1B 2:30 to 3:15 PM - Fairy Tale Drama / Ages 3 and 4
- T2 3:30 to 4:15 PM - Creative Drama / Grades K and 1
- T3 4:30 to 5:30 PM - Drama for Young Actors I / Grades 2 and 3
- T4 5:45 to 6:45 - Drama for Young Actors II / Grades 4, 5, 6
- T 5 10:00 am to 12:00 am - Kid's Musical Theatre grades K and 1 / Grades K and 1
- Fairy Tale Drama (3 and 4) Tuition: $180.00 + $15 registration fee.
- Fairy Tale Drama (Ages 3 and 4) Exciting games involving make-believe, musical theatre and puppetry will enchant young performers as they create fairy tales and new characters, while learning to work in a group setting. A final performance will be held for parents on the last day of class, Tuesday, April 24.
Minimum of 6 students and a Maximum of 10 students.
Tuition: $180.00 + $15 registration fee. - Creative Drama (Grades K and 1) Ride a magic carpet, explore the worlds of dinosaurs or visit the planet Neptune; anything is possible in this exhilarating class where theatre games and musical movement enhance the magical voyage. Every child's creative genius will be nurtured as they explore their talents through their own inventive improvisations. ***
Minimum of 6 students and a Maximum of 15 students. Fall Show: "The Ants and the Grasshopper"
Tuition: $180.00 + $15 registration fee. - Drama for Young Actors I (Grades 2 and 3)
Tuition: $180.00 + $15 registration fee. - Drama for Young Actors II (Grades 4, 5, 6) Explore self-expression and creativity through fun, sometimes hilarious and always exciting improvisations, skits and theatre games. Strong friendships are formed, while students grow together in confidence and the joy of self-discovery. Your young actor or actress will be cast in a one-act show written by Mrs. Lombardo for each appropriate age group.
Minimum of 6 students and Maximum of 15 students.
Show: (grades 2 & 3) "The Night The Animals Talked".
Show: (grades 4, 5, & 6) "A Christmas Carol"
Tuition: $180.00 + $15 registration fee. - Kid's Musical Theatre grades K and 1 (Grades K and 1) Students act, dance and sing and present the musical play "Corey the Caterpillar". This charming musical, written for young performers, takes place in a garden where colorful ladybugs, bumblebees, fireflies and dragonflies live. Poor Corey is a plain brown catermillar and wishes to be colorful like everyone else. In time Corey learns that "Good things come to those who wait!"
